Family-Rooted Masonry With a Hands-On Approach

Masonry has always been part of our family. Our owner, Omar Reyes, grew up around the trade through his father, who worked as a mason. That early connection gave Omar an appreciation for the skill, patience, and attention to detail that go into building with brick, block, and stone. After gaining hands-on experience through his own projects, he established Reyes & Son Construction, LLC in 2022.

Today, we’re an insured, owner-operated masonry business serving Wilmington, NC, and surrounding communities. Our three-person crew works with homeowners, commercial property owners, builders, and general contractors on new masonry installations and property improvements. From masonry foundations and brick and stone veneers to retaining walls, custom columns, brick steps, and paver patios, we approach each project with careful planning and respect for the customer’s expectations.

We know hiring a masonry contractor involves more than choosing materials and agreeing on a price. You want to know who’s handling the work, when the crew will arrive, and what to expect as the installation progresses. That’s why we discuss the scope before getting started, communicate throughout the project, and take our scheduling commitments seriously.

As a small, family-rooted business, we stay personally involved in the work rather than treating customers like another number on the schedule. We also offer service in English and Spanish, making it easier for customers to discuss their plans, ask questions, and understand the installation process.

Whether you’re a homeowner planning a new outdoor feature or a builder coordinating masonry for a larger construction project, we want to make working with us straightforward. Our goal is simple: honor our commitments, respect the agreed budget, and deliver masonry work you can feel good about.

The Values Behind Our Work

Our Values

We Keep Our Word

When we agree to a project, we understand that our commitments matter. Customers make plans around construction schedules, material deliveries, and the arrival of different trades. Showing up when expected and communicating about the work are important parts of keeping those plans moving.

We take time to discuss project requirements, explain our portion of the installation, and agree on pricing before work begins. If you’re building a new home, adding a masonry feature, or coordinating a commercial project, we want you to understand what we’re responsible for and how the work fits into your plans.

We also believe communication should continue after the installation starts. Our crew stays involved, provides updates, and addresses questions as they come up. We don’t want customers wondering what’s happening or whom they should contact.

For us, keeping our word means treating each agreement seriously, respecting the customer’s time, and following through on the work we’ve discussed.

Our connection to masonry began long before we opened our business. Omar Reyes grew up around his father’s work as a mason, learning to appreciate the care involved in laying brick, setting block, and working with stone.

That family background continues to influence how we approach our projects today. As an owner-operated business with a three-person crew, we believe in staying close to the work and maintaining direct communication with the people who hire us.

Whether we’re installing brick veneer on a home, constructing a masonry foundation, or building columns for a commercial property, we pay attention to the details that affect the finished result. We discuss materials, layout, and installation requirements so the work fits the customer’s plans.

We’re proud of our family connection to the trade, but we believe our actions should speak for themselves. We want customers to remember us for the way we communicate, the care we put into our installations, and how we treat them throughout the project.

A masonry project involves decisions about materials, dimensions, appearance, scheduling, and cost. We believe customers should feel comfortable asking questions and understanding those decisions before work begins.

We start by listening to what you want to accomplish. For a homeowner, that might mean discussing the appearance of a stone veneer or the layout of a paver patio. For a builder or general contractor, it may involve reviewing foundation plans, construction specifications, and the schedule for our portion of the work.

Once we understand the project, we discuss the proposed scope and pricing so expectations are clear. As installation progresses, we stay in contact and explain what comes next.

We also provide service in English and Spanish because clear communication should be accessible to the customers we serve.

Our approach is straightforward: listen carefully, explain the work, answer questions, and keep customers informed throughout their masonry installation.
